Family HealthCare Network Welcomes New Provider, Maria Barajas-McGahan, MD
Dr. Barajas-McGahan Brings a Passion for Family-Centered Care to Fresno.
FRESNO, CA JULY 22, 2024— Family HealthCare Network (FHCN) proudly welcomes Maria Barajas-McGahan, MD, to our pediatrics team at our Fresno First health center. Dr. Barajas-McGahan brings a passion toward providing family-centered care and a history of excellence throughout the course of her educational journey.
Raised in Reedley, Dr. Barajas-McGahan’s healthcare journey started in the Central Valley at University of California Merced, where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences with an emphasis in Human Biology while graduating with High Honors. Dr. Barajas-McGahan furthered her education at University of California Davis in Sacramento, where she received her Doctor of Medicine degree. During her time at UC Davis, Dr. Barajas-McGahan was featured in two research projects that focused on supporting breastfeeding mothers. After completing her residency at Valley Children’s Hospital in Madera, Dr. Barajas-McGahan accepted a position with Family HealthCare Network in 2024.
Dr. Barajas-McGahan is now accepting patients at Family HealthCare Network’s Fresno First health center at 3425 N. First Street.
